You will be received at the Chennai airport by the staff of Global Travels who will escort you to your vehicle that will take you to your destination- Mahabalipuram which is an hour away from the airport by car. Our representatives will assist you in hotel transfer there.
Overnight stay in the hotel

You will leave for a detailed tour of Mahabalipuram right after breakfast, before 9am in the morning as this city (though it has lost its identity as a port) possesses a gamut of temples and architectural remains and you will require a good amount of time in hand to explore all of them. You will be accompanied by an excellent guide who will take you to most of the historical sites like Mahisasurmardini caves, monolithic temples like the five Rathas, the shore temple, Krishna’s butterball, and not to forget the stone structure called Arjuna’s penance- all of these narrate the Indian history during the age of Pandavas.

After this exhilarating trip, return to the hotel and spend the night there.

Leave your hotel as early as possible in the morning for an hour and a half’s drive to Kanchipuram. Our English speaking guide will take you around most of the temples likeSri Ekambareshwar Temple,Kamakshi Amman Temple, Kailasanathar Temple, Thennangur Panduranga Temple (Vishnu temple) Thennangur Dugra Temple and so on. Between 12pm to 4pm all temples are closed thus you will be shopping and having lunch in this period. Post Lunch you will be shown a demo of how silk is woven. You will resume temple viewing and admiring the architectural marvel after 4 pm for as long as the time would permit.

Leave at your convenience for your next stop- Pondicherry, which is a journey of four hours approximately, by car. Our attendants at Globus Travels will assist you with hotel transfers.
Night halt in Pondicherry

Pondicherry is one of the most attractive tourist destinations of India. To explore this city to the fullest you will leave early in the morning with your first stop at Aurobindo Ashram- a Samadhi of Sri Aurobindo and The Mother. Our expert guides (fluent in English) will enrich you with the details of this aesthetic and serene ashram after which they will show you the entire city with other appealing sites that are fine examples of Indian architecture and heritage like Pondicherry museum, Panjavadi Temple, Auroville, Manakkula Vinayakar Temple and so on. Boating in Chunnambar, Nehru Street and a visit to Pondicherry Beach is not ruled out.
Return to the hotel in the night and halt there.

The next stop scheduled is Tranqebar (now known as Tharangambadi) is a majestic heritage town that belonged to the Dutch, British and Danish rule. It has unspoiled and outright magnificent charisma of its own. It will take three hours roughly to reach there by car. Our expert guides will help you explore this “land of singing waves’ ,be it the 700year old Masilamani Nathar temple with engravings form the Chola Era, the age old Danish fort that is known for its sturdiness,the Bungalow on the Beach,Danish museum and many other such colonial marvels that are longstanding proof of intrinsic Tamil architecture.

You will begin the day early and head off to Tanjore or Tanjavur that is an ethnic cityand also considered as the ‘rice bowl’ of Tamil Nadu.It takes all of three hours’ drive to this city thus you will be right in time to visit famous temples like Brihadeeshwara Temple. As this city, (built by Chola dynasty) promotes art and architecture in depth, you will also be taken to the Sararswati Mahal Library, the art gallery displaying paintings that are named after the city. You will also visit other world heritage sites known for historical monuments like Kumbakonam, Thiruvaiyaru,Tiruvarur and so on as the time permits.
Return to the hotel and night halt.

Trichy is culturally as rich as Tanjore and it will be your next stop. You may take a break and leave post afternoon as it will take no more than an hour to reach your desired terminus.You will be touring Rockfort the cynosure of Trichy that has a history of being the oldest rock in the world. A visit to the local market that is abuzz with activities in the evening, along with a tour of Sri Ranganatha Swamy Temple, Srirangam and Thiruvaikoil JambukeshwarTemple enroute this local market.

Madurai is yet another antique city with exquisite temples and effervescent beaches with picturesque beauty. You will have the liberty of leaving for Madurai at your own free will as you can reach this place within three hours. You will be assisted by our staff to check in the hotel.
Overnight stay in the hotel

This ancient city Madurai is at least 2500years old and a must visit avenue for those who want to bask in Indian culture and heritage. You will be required to leave early to avoid missing out on any of the important places like a detailed tour of Meenakshi temple along with Velli Ambalam(Silver hall), various other temples like Koodal Azhagar temple,Thirupparankundram Muruganand Pazhamudhir Solai temples of the local Lord Murugan, The alluring Samanar Hills that have amazing Jain inscriptions , The famous Gandhi museum and so on.

After a hectic tour of Madurai you can rest and leave for your next stoppage at Periyar National Park, a wild life sanctuary in your desired time period bearing in mind that it will take at least four hours to reach this place.

Start your day at sunrise to capture the breath-taking view of this natural reserve and discover the thrill of watching nature in its fullest splendour. Spend the day spotting wild animals (hunting and doing their bit of contribution to nature), like wild boars, elephants, a huge variety of deer like barking deer, mouse deeretc, langoors and so on. Consider yourself lucky if you happen to see a tiger or spot a Nilgiri Tahr( yet another wild species that is turning extinct). Boating across Periyar Lake is the highlight of touring this location for its quaint magnificence and serene ambience.

You are scheduled to leave for Cochin at your convenience with consideration to the fact that it will take at least five hours to reach the city.

Begin your day with a heavy breakfast and proceed for sightseeing throughout the city which is now called Kochi. This is a city with ports that is blessed with superb seashores and primeval edifices. Beaches like Fort Cochin, Cherai beach, and structures like the ancient St. Francis Church, Jewish Synagogue, not to forget the Lulu mall, it is all there to explore in your agenda. Wind up the evening beautifully with a surreal Kathakali dance show that will be conducted by the local people who are rooted to this art form as a part of their culture.
